The Baltimore Blast enters the final month of the season currently in 3rd place. They trail both Milwaukee and Detroit by two games in the loss column. The Blast will find it hard to make up ground on those two teams as they face only Detroit again and not until the last game of the season. Also working against the Blast is a schedule that is road heavy. The Blast has two home dates in March and one in April before the playoffs begin. Also the Blast is just two games ahead of Monterrey for the 6th and final playoff spot. After Monterrey it’s all but over as the defending MISL champion Kixx look to be out of it having just five games left and a two game deficit to Monterrey for the final playoff spot. California and Orlando are all but eliminated. With that being said the Blast plays the Kixx at home this Friday and the Kixx is a desperate side. It will be a tough and nasty game at 1st Mariner so buy your tickets now. The Blast then head out for 3 straight road games before returning home at the end of March and then a final road game vs. New Jersey and a home finale vs. Detroit. Three wins out of the seven remaining games should put the Blast in the playoffs. Holding onto 3rd or fourth position in the table would be nice as then they would have a home game in the playoff round in April. Look for tight 11-9 win for Baltimore on Friday.
