This is near and dear to me/Socially Speaking’s heart because my mom, my hero and the original "Liz Smith of Baltimore,"–Sylvia Badger of News American and Sun fame–was diagnosed this summer with ovarian cancer.
So get out there, burn some calories before the Ravens game. Look for me to throw all my energies into this in the future too.
