Thursday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

November 13, 2008 | Glenn Clark

There were NOT 2,500 people at the Orioles’ rally yesterday.

There were NOT 700 people at the Orioles’ rally yesterday.

There MAY have been 700 people in the Gallery yesterday.

BUT……as everyone has said…..BALTIMORE is back.

This IS a win for Orioles fans, which is exciting, because there have been so few wins over the past few years for us.

But it won’t make a difference if two of the guys in attendance yesterday (Chris Waters and Brian Burres) are in the starting rotation come Opening Day.

It’s still a nice thing to see.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say………

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:

-Congratulations to SunTrust Athlete of the Morning Amelia Thomas; whose 13 kills lead Towson High’s volleyball team to a straight sets win over Damascus in the 3A semifinals yesterday in College Park. They’ll play Centennial Monday for the state title.

-If Peter Angelos had anything to do with the uniform changes; it really doesn’t do anything for me.

-Derrick Mason NEEDS to play Sunday. I believe he’ll be ready to go.

Talk to you tomorrow.

-G
