The conversation about Matt Wieters’ pending Friday promotion to “The Show” and the speculation about his immediate and long-term impact will be fast and furious all day at WNST.net and AM 1570 and will surely crescendo tonight at Padonia Station when seven hardcore Baltimore sports enthusiasts and elocutionists gather as we crown the Coors Light King of Baltimore Sportstalk.
All of the WNST family of listeners and readers are encouraged to come out to Padonia Station in Timonium to meet our contestants and celebs and have some good, old-fashioned sports conversation with some hardcores. (Oh, and the Coors Lights are only two bucks!)
The seven finalists — Chris Stoner, Jerry Reinhardt, Tom Clayton, Luke Jones, Marco Romanell, Todd Salkowski and Lawson Lambert — will gather along with former Ravens coach and WNST partner Brian Billick and former Ch. 13 legend John Buren as well as Drew Forrester and Bob Haynie to celebrate Baltimore sports and determine a winner in a tough field of well-deserved candidates.
Tonight’s winner will receive a trip for two to Bermuda courtesy of The Cruise Lady and Royal Caribbean cruises out of the Port of Baltimore later this summer.
All seven guys have battled through four rounds of the competition and have blogged, done radio, appeared at live events and contributed to the voices of free speech at WNST.net. Tonight will be another night of mystery achievement and live sports talk at Padonia Station.
Good luck to all seven of them in fulfilling their dreams to become “sports media guys” in the new media era. They’ve all done nice work and picking a winner will be difficult.
You be the judge and tell us who the winner should be! Eight weeks worth of blogs are available on the front page of WNST and can be easily searched via our SEARCH button in the upper right corner of the site.
