Tonight’s Orioles – Tigers Lineups

August 05, 2009 |

The Orioles will look to string together back-to-back wins tonight when they meet the Detroit Tigers for the third of four at Comerica Park starting at 7:05pm.

On the bump for the O’s will be Jeremy Guthrie, whose record now stands at 7-10 after not being able to hold a 7th inning 5-4 lead against the Red Sox last Friday at Camden Yards.  Guthrie’s ERA has ballooned to 5.37 and his 26 home runs allowed are an American League high for all hurlers.

Edwin Jackson will start this evening for the Tigers and look to continue his outstanding ’09 season.  The former L.A. Dodger and Tampa Bay Ray has found a nice home in Detroit and has been a linchpin in the rotation for the A.L. Central leaders.  Jackson’s ERA of 2.64 is amongst the American League’s leaders.
