Tough Game Awaits Us Tomorrow In Southern California

I
I know I refer to the two words MUST win a lot when I write about Raven games. But when you’re in the same division with the Pittsburgh Steelers, every game is a must win if you want to take the division. The Ravens and Steelers are dead locked at 10-3. By virtue of the Ravens sweeping the Steelers we hold the tie breaker.

With three games remaining for both teams, the schedule favor’s the Steelers. The Steelers play the toughest of their REMAINING games Monday Night against the 49ers in Frisco. Other than that, they have the Rams at home next week and the Browns in Cleveland on New Year’s Day. The Ravens on the other hand have a hot San Diego Chargers team tomorrow night, the Browns at home next week, and the Bengals in Cincinnati on New Year’s Day.

The Chargers are riding a two game winning streak, and the Ravens four. Although Vegas have the Ravens favored by 2.5 points, I’m concerned. The Ravens play on the road on the other side of the country. They play with several players “questionable”.

I worry about our secondary against a very potent Phillip Rivers. Rivers has 480 attempts, 302 completions, with 3745 yards and 22 touchdowns. The Raven’s will have to get to him early and often to give our stained secondary a chance.

The Ravens have no margin for error. We must win out to take the AFC North Division and secure a first round playoff bye. We can’t rely on Pittsburgh (with or without Big Ben) to lose to the 49ers. We must win out. But first we must take care of business and beat the Chargers in San Diego.

SIDE NOTE: A FORMER CLASSMATE OF MY SON WENT TO ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL IN FULLERTON A FEW YEARS AGO. FIVE YEARS AGO SHE HAD A HEART TRANSPLANT. BECAUSE OF THE MEDICATION SHE RECEIVED TO PREVENT INFECTION AND I GUESS REJECTION OF THE HEART, SHE HAS DEVELOPED LYMPHOMA. SHE NEEDS A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT. OU CAN GET TESTED TO SEE IF YOU’RE A MATCH TO BE A BONE MARROW DONOR FOR THIS YOUNG LADY. THE TEST IS PAINLESS; IT’S A MATTER A SIMPLE SWAB OF THE CHEEK. IF YOU’RE READING THIS BLOG AND ABLE TO PARTICIPATE THAN THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
