When will the O’s win? Matt hopes it’s tonight

September 30, 2009 | Drew Forrester

With a 12-game losing streak pinned to their tails, the donkeys Orioles are now severely in danger of losing 100 games in 2009.

In reality, who cares if it’s 102, 101, 100, 99 or 98?  Honestly…it’s just a number.

But we’re doing our best here to keep folks interested in the team as the season comes to a close, so at the suggestion of listener “Jason in Abingdon”, we produced a funny little contest today on The Comcast Morning Show.

“When will they win again?” — I put 10 dates in the hat and we fielded 10 calls and gave those listeners a date.  If the O’s break their current losing streak on that date, the listener wins one of our great prize packages.

Just so you can follow along at home, here are the names of listeners and the dates that were drawn for them today:

Tonight at Tampa Bay –Matt in White Marsh

Thurs., 10/1 at Tampa Bay — Jason in Abingdon

Fri., 10/2 vs. Toronto — Dennis in Dundalk

Sat., 10/3 vs. Toronto — Tom in White Marsh

Sun., 10/4 vs. Toronto — Chris in Perry Hall

Tue., April 6, 2010 at Tampa — Cory in York, PA

Fri., 4/9/10 vs. Toronto — Don in Joppatowne

Sun., 4/11/10 vs. Toronto — DJ in Bel Air

Tues., 4/30/10 vs. Boston — Jim in Dundalk
