Who wants to have a BLAST tonight?

April 16, 2008 | Nestor Aparicio

In my never ending attempt to have fun with my spring and summer, tonight should live up to the expectations.

As many of you know, I’ve always been a big advocate of soccer and more specifically, the Blast.

The BALTIMORE Blast (note the first name of the franchise) will be hosting the dreaded Milwaukee Wave tonight at the First Mariner Arena and I’m recruiting some folks who want to have fun and enjoy a Wednesday night with a family sport downtown.

We’re starting the party at the DSX at 5:30-ish and will roll over to the 7:05 game in time to root on the Blast to a potential semifinal victory and a chance to win a fourth MISL crown.

Honestly, I’m just looking to sit with some fun people who love the team and have some fun watching the local guys play. I went to the game last week with my wife and son and we really DID have a Blast.

If you haven’t been to a Blast game this year, tonight is as good of an opportunity as any, with this being the final home game of the season. The championship game is set for Saturday, April 26th in Milwaukee, so tonight is your last chance to see the Blast at home.

Two of our resident bloggers – Patrick Johnson and Lonnie Nelson – have done a great job of supporting and writing about the team this season, and of course Amy Keller of the Blast’s PR staff also pitches in with information.

We’ve always loved and supported the Blast here at WNST.net.

Tonight would be a great night to come downtown, root on the team and have some fun with the year’s last indoor soccer game.

Who wants to get a beer or soft drink and wings at 5:30 at the DSX and head over to the Arena?

Hope to see you there!!!!
