Happy Friday! I just wanted to pass along a few notes about our WNST Miller Lite Charity Golf Outing on May 22nd at Mountain Branch.
We still have 11 foursomes remaining, so be sure and get your group together and join us for a great afternoon of golf, fun and friendship as we raise money for The Casey Cares Foundation of Baltimore.
Everyone who plays this year gets a bunch of great stuff, including Titleist golf balls, one free ticket to the 2008 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship at Baltimore Country Club in October and Miller Lite will have some goodies for all of our participants as well.
We’ll have beer (Miller Lite, of course!), soft drinks, water and snacks on the course for all players and then afterwards, we have a good old fashioned sit down BBQ in the Mountain Branch tent, with chicken, burger, hot dogs and salads.
I’m working on a special “guest speaker” but don’t want to jinx it just yet, so I’ll hold off making an announcement. Keep your fingers crossed!
The Casey Cares Foundation is our 2008 charity recipient and we hope you join us on May 22nd to help raise money for their very worthwhile efforts. Casey Cares assists critically ill children and their families during a time of great need and we’re pleased to be teaming up with them in ’08.
To read more about the golf outing and to sign up (you can pay using PayPal), just go to the golf outing link on the right side of the WNST.net home page.
Speaking of Casey Cares, WNST listeners have already come through with OVER $1,700 in donations via our “Care for Casey” fundraiser during The Masters. PGA Tour player Paul Casey made 16 birdies during The Masters and the following WNST listeners recently sent in their donation/pledge and helped raise over $1,700 for Casey Cares:
> Joe Deasel
> Ann Burke
> Don Mohler
> Chuck Smolkin
> Ron Nevarez (all the way from Florida!)
> Phil Misey
> Ian Berger
> Bill & Maria McCarthy
> Joel Levin
> Jeff Getek
> Donald Leatherwood
> Jerry Brotman
> Neil Gillies
Once again, a very special thanks to everyone who contributed to Casey Cares so far and we plan on raising a lot more money for them – and the families of Baltimore in need – on May 22nd at Mountain Branch.
I hope you can join us for a great day of golf!
