This is now “Drew’s Blog, brought to you by Koons Ford Security Blvd.”, thanks to my friend Dennis Koulatsos who runs the Koons Ford Security Blvd. location over in Woodlawn. Dennis has been a great friend of mine at WNST. He’s sponsored our charity golf outing each year and was one of the sponsors who signed on and helped bring our exclusive Super Bowl coverage to you this past January from Miami. I’m proud to be associated with Dennis and Koons Ford. They’ll be involved in our 2007 NFL Draft coverage as well and you’ll be hearing (and seeing) plenty more on Koons
Ford in the next 3 months or so at the very least.
We now have 84 listeners participating in our “Eagle’s for Erinn” campaign. Tom from White Hall called in today and pledged $75 per-eagle made in today’s first round of the Masters and I’m matching that. Don’t think any have been yet today, but the first round has a long way to go so let’s hope there are some eagles down there in Augusta, Georgia today and we can raise money for that beautiful Eagle statue that we will present to Maryvale in honor of the late Erinn McCarthy.
Just for fun…if each of the 7 players I used in Eagle’s for Erinn (Woods, Mickelson, Garcia, Els, Oglivy, Singh and Scott) makes just 1 eagle this week, with all the pledges, matches, etc., we’ll do over $2,500 in monies raised for that Eagle statue.
It’s Masters Thursday…I’ll be hunkered down by the tube all day watching first round play.
And best of all, there’s no baseball loss to lament tomorrow morning.
Have a great Thursday.
