This Friday’s show will be dedicated to MOM

May 10, 2007 | Drew Forrester

You officially have about 36 hours to get ready for Friday’s edition of The Comcast Morning Show.

Friday morning, starting at 6:07 am, I’m dedicating the entire four-hour show to YOUR mom…I’ll share stories about my mother and her influence over me with regard to sports and I can’t wait to hear your memories as well.  Mother’s Day is, of course, this coming Sunday and what better way to tell the world about your mom – do it on the radio! – with me…on WNST.

I’ll tell you lots more about my mother on Friday, but the cliff notes are as follows:  She was there at every game, she yelled at the umps when they made a bad call (way to go Mom!) and she hugged me when we won and when we lost.  My mom passed away in 1987 when I was 24 but my roots in sports can be traced back to her support (along with my dad, of course) over the years.

So I want to hear from ALL OF YOU this Friday morning.  We’ll celebrate Mother’s Day a couple of days early by giving you the chance to tell the listening audience about your mom’s role in your life.

Be sure and listen in on Friday and please, contribute…either via the phone (410-481-1570) or e-mail me your thoughts ( and I’ll share them with the listeners.
