We pay tribute to MOM tomorrow morning…please join in

May 11, 2007 | Drew Forrester

Friday morning’s edition of The Comcast Morning Show will be a Mother’s Day Special…we’re going to spend the better part of four hours taking our own individual trips down memory lane and remembering the role our mothers had in our sports lives.  Did Mom take the entire neighborhood to Little League practice?  Did she used to sit out on the porch with you and listen to baseball on the radio?  Did your Mom accompany you to the “world’s largest outdoor insane asylum” on 33rd St?

Please join me tomorrow morning, starting at 6:07 am, and give me your best Mom-Sports story.  I want to hear them all.

O’s are up 8-6, having once led 5-0 and 7-2.  They won’t squander this lead, though.  Tampa’s pitching staff is, well, just not very good.  And that’s putting it kindly.  Birds win this one, 13-8.

I know they’re trying hard to NOT show the crowd on the TV broadcast, but to me it looks like there’s about 7,500 in the place tonight.  I guess that’s why they’re trying hard to not show the crowd, huh?

And the Featured Artist tomorrow morning is…one of THE greatest bands ever…with one of THE best lead vocalists ever.  Gee, not much of a hint, right?  Well, tune in Friday morning and find out who I’m talking about.
