Ohio State will be in the Rose Bowl. Charlie Weis looks to be gone. Stanford is really good. We did learn a few things this week.

I missed the USC/Stanford game badly; but I was uncannily close on the Ohio St., Navy, Morgan, and Towson games.
Best Game by a BCS Team: Stanford
For the second week in a row, the Cardinal just dismantled a very good team. Jim Harbaugh meant it when he said that he was going to go right after USC. He has and this was a thumping. Some run it up stuff may come back to haunt him, but on this weekend his team dominated every phase of the game against the Trojans.
Best Game by a non-BCS Team: SMU
I couldn’t care less that UTEP was not a good team. SMU’ s win was historic. What was once a premier collegiate team suffered through the only death penalty of a major football squad and hasn’t been bowling since the 1984 Aloha Bowl. In year two, miracle worker June Jones has them back and bowl eligible with this 35-31 win.
Best Individual Performance of the Week: Toby Gerhart, RB Stanford
He has pushed himself right into the Heisman buzz, with his 178 yard and 3 TD day against USC.
