Best Game by a BCS Team: Mississippi
By beating LSU, the Rebels showed some of what was expected of them at the beginning of the season. In doing so they probably locked up a pretty good bowl berth.
Best Game by a non-BCS Team: Ohio U.
By defeating N. Illinois and Temple over the last two weeks, coach Frank Solich has gotten the Bobcats into the MAC championship game and into a bowl again.
Best Individual Performance of the Week: Jeremiah Masoli, QB Oregon
In a must win game for the Ducks bowl hopes, Masoli came through in the second half and overtime. The Oregon team needed inspiration to pull out the 44-41 win and Masoli provided it with 6 TD’s combined through the air and on the ground.
