My Dinner With Peter G. Angelos (Part I)

January 22, 2014 | Nestor Aparicio

As I continue to gather more information and write the legacy of the Baltimore Orioles under the ownership of Peter G. Angelos, I’m stumbling onto all sorts of information, quotes and basic truths.

My book on the first 20 years of Angelos’ ownership, The Peter Principles, is coming to in March.

I’ve only met Peter Angelos three times in my life. This was the first time in March 1997. When this video starts, I had literally just shaken hands with him less than two minutes earlier.

I thought Angelos gave an outstanding interview on this day. Nestor was quite annoying with his usual long-winded rambling questions but that it due to his ongoing belief that he is the story, as opposed to the guest. Angelos was very informative and showed remarkable patience with this amateur-esque interview style.

He says the same bs in the locker room in 2012 after the loss to NY once again 15 years after this video. Never ends. Bring back MacFail he was the the best thing since Gillick and Johnson. Just get good players and pay them and keep them here.
