While the complete list of the fine-print details isn’t quite in ink yet, we know this much for sure:
The WNST Charity Golf Outing returns for a 5th year on Tuesday, October 19 at Pine Ridge in Timonium.
Please mark that date down and prepare to wind down the golf season by joining me and other WNST sponsors and listeners for a great day of golf and friendship at one of Baltimore’s best golf courses for Fall foliage and playability. If you haven’t played Pine Ridge in October, you’re in for a real treat. It’s Baltimore’s post-card for autumn golf.
We have a GREAT day in store for you. Here’s what I can reveal about the October 19 event.
We’ll be playing the traditional captain’s choice format, but we are ONLY accepting 18 teams for this year’s outing. We’re doing this to ensure a smooth and timely pace of play. 18 teams will move through the course quickly and get us inside by early evening for a great dinner, refreshments and a soon-to-be announced keynote speaker.
Everyone playing in this year’s event will receive a terrific high-quality moisture-wicking golf shirt (a $50 value) and a goody bag with various discount coupons and gift cards from Baltimore area businesses. The entry fee of $150 per-player includes your golf, cart, prizes and post-round dinner and drinks. As always, all proceeds from the WNST Charity Golf Outing go to a Baltimore based organization. We will announce this year’s recipient on September 6. In the past, our event has donated funds to the Maryland ALS Organization, the Robert Packard Center for ALS research at Johns Hopkins, The Casey Cares Foundation and the Erinn McCarthy Scholarship Fund at Maryvale Prep. We always donate our tournament proceeds to a Baltimore-based organization and this year will be no different.
The event will begin at 1pm on Tuesday, October 19 at Pine Ridge.
To get your team’s spot reserved, you MUST e-mail me directly at (email@example.com). A landing page for the outing will be going up at WNST.net soon, but you can reserve your team’s spot right now by e-mailing me. Once I receive your e-mail request, I’ll get back to you and we’ll exchange information about your foursome, shirt sizes, etc.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me directly.
We need 18 teams of four to make this year’s outing a success!
Please join us for a great day of golf, fun and friendship.
