Top 10 Baseball Distractions

4. Mixed Martial Arts: UFC 150-Benson Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar (Saturday 10pm from Denver live on Pay-Per-View)

Ben Henderson is a TREMENDOUS fighter. But if we’re being honest I think we’d all be willing to admit that he will NEVER not be the guy that got DEMOLISHED by Anthony Pettis in the final WEC fight…

3. Golf: PGA Championship (Thursday & Friday 1pm live on TNT Saturday & Sunday 11am live on TNT 2pm live on CBS. All golf from Kiawah Island, SC); USGA U.S. Women’s Amateur (Wednesday-Sunday 3pm from Cleveland live on Golf Channel)

Could there be any more different locales in the world than Kiawah Island and CLEVELAND?

I’ll let you go ahead and guess who I’m picking in the PGA Championship.

The way I see it, he’s due.

2. Olympics (Tuesday 3am & 5pm live on CNBC 4am live on NBC Sports Network 9am live on MSNBC 10am live on NBC Wednesday 3am & 5pm live on CNBC 6am live on NBC Sports Network 9am live on MSNBC 10am live on NBC Thursday 3am & 5pm live on CNBC 8am live on NBC Sports Network 9am live on MSNBC 10am live on NBC Friday 3am & 5pm live on CNBC 8am live on NBC Sports Network 10am live on NBC & MSNBC Saturday 3am & 3:30pm live on CNBC 4am live on NBC Sports Network 10am live on NBC & MSNBC Sunday 3am & 8am live on CNBC 6am & 10am live on NBC & NBC Sports Network 7am live on MSNBC. Olympics Primetime nightly 8pm-7pm Sunday tape delay on NBC. Additional coverage on NBC Olympic Soccer Network, NBC Olympic Basketball Network and NBCOlympics.com. All Olympics from London)

The bummer for me is that the Olympics tennis action is over. Although thank God I won’t even have to miss another episode of “Real Housewives” over on BRAVO.

The good news? There’s more of Lolo “Don’t Call Me Rashida” Jones on the way during Week 2.

Would any of us care if one replaced the other?

I need a minute.

1. NFL: Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons (Thursday 7:30pm from Atlanta live on ABC2); Baltimore Ravens Training Camp (Tuesday & Wednesday, Saturday, Monday Under Armour Performance Center coverage on AM1570 WNST.net), Baltimore Ravens open practice (Sunday 5pm Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)

Holy God football. Not real football but something more similar to real football than we’ve felt in awhile. I might even dress up for the event…

What’s that? You think this was just an excuse for me to post a picture of myself in a tux from last weekend? Cheeky bastard.

Flexing my mic muscles since 1983…
