We’re playing Mount Pleasant tomorrow

September 16, 2008 | Drew Forrester

So tomorrow (Wednesday) at Mount Pleasant, we’re gathering once again to chase the little white ball and raise some money for two great local organizations.

It’s the 2nd of our WNST “Charity Challenges” and tomorrow’s event pits me against three Comcast Morning Show listeners – “JWS” (as you all know him from WNST.net fame), Mark Loraditch and John Flynn.

I’ll play the three of them in a “net” event — JWS is a 25 handicap, Mark Loraditch is a “4” and John Flynn is a “3”.

We’ll be teeing it up at 1:00 pm and once again I’ll be employing the use of a celebrity caddy. Back in July, I employed former WJZ-TV sportscaster John Buren to loop for me and we had a great time.

Tomorrow, I was hoping to give the bag to Ira Silverstein and let him clean my balls and handle the clubs, but instead, I’ll go with an even bigger celebrity.

Rick from Reisterstown will be on the bag for me tomorrow at Mount Pleasant. Yeah, I know, I’m crazy.

We’ll be raising money for the Erinn McCarthy Scholarship Fund at Maryvale and the Casey Cares Foundation.

If you’d like to come out and say “hi”, feel free to stop by Mount Pleasant tomorrow.
