SHOW Parlay available bankroll: $100 – When starting a SHOW parlay, you’re looking for a good return to establish a base to build on which also means it is your riskiest selection. As a rule, we should find a large field (8 or more starters) and avoid the favorite.

SHOW Parlay Play of the Day:  $20 on Reason to Drink (# 4; 3rd race; 7-2) is a speedy 5-year-old without a lot of stamina. He’s earned his living in 5½ and 6 furlong sprints, while even the latter distance is a bit. In here he catches a rare 5 furlong event, which he should manage to hit the board, if not win it. In his career going 5 – 5½ furlongs, he’s been in-the-money 8 of 12 times. The fact this is a $7,500 Starter Allowance event (i.e. he cannot be claimed) imndicates trainer Scott Lake still believes he can earn money at this level.

It’s a beautiful day to go to Opening Day at Old Hilltop. If you have other plans, then make it a point to go on one of the other 35 days. You might actually find yourself having fun. Good Luck!
