She makes her 3-year-old debut in here and has been working lights out at Bowie in the A.M. With races off the turf, finding a race with a fair number of horses toget more than $2.20 to SHOW was a chore.

It’s a beautiful day to go to Old Hilltop. If you have other plans, then make it a point to go on one of the other 25 days remaining in the meet. You might actually find yourself having fun. Good Luck!

There is also that dispute between Hawthorne and the Churchill Downs owned Arlington Park over racing dates. I’m all for the new points system, including downplaying the two year old races. But stuff like this makes Churchill Downs look really petty. I almost hope the Illinois Derby winner goes on to Pimlico and ambushes the Derby winner in the Preakness.

I agree Ruben! I actually felt like snubbing the Lexington as if it weren’t being run, but then the horseplayer in me thought otherwise (darn). What’s interesting about both of these races, IF any/all of the Also-Rans from other the other Derby preps (filled with Derby starters) are Also-Rans TODAY, then what does that say about THOSE Derby starters?!
