Even though there is Sunday racing at Old Hilltop, this handicapper put his priorities in order (for once) and put his Mom first. She may not have taught me how to read past performances, or how recognize a track speed bias and/or determine a horses’ readiness by observing his/her physical movements in the post parade, but she taught a whole lot more. How to cook, to be accountable for my actions, have faith, respect others and to love, just to name a few.
Thanks Mom for loving and believing in me. To everyone who reads this blog, spend time with your Mom, whether it be in the same physical location or spiritually. Every Mom is a special person. Make sure you express your feelings and love for her, not only on Mother’s Day, but every day of the year.
