Black-eyed Susan Picks

May 14, 2009 |

The Black-eyed Susan is tomorrow, and without a superhorse like Rachel Alexandra, it will be a more exciting betting race than the Kentucky Oaks. One of the top contenders Hooh Why is supposedly scratching, so Iwill not list her in my picks. Be advised though, that if this proves incorrect I definitely think she has top 3 ability. In the end I am going to go with Payton d’Oro. Maybe my infatuation with Rachel Alexandra is going to far, but I think this half-sister ( both are by proud papa Medaglia d’Oro) will make it a special weekend for that equine family. Stone Legacy will also show that finishing second to Alexandra in the Oaks was nothing to sneeze at. Here are the post positions and my finals picks. Tomorrow we will see how I do.
