Preakness Day: Analysis of Preakness 137 and Selections for all 13 races

Pimlico Turf starting gate

Recapping selections from Day 28 (Friday, May 18th) had 8 winners (6 Top Selections) that paid to WIN… $3,40, $9.40, $8.80, $46.40, $4.40, $3.20, $51.60 and $5.00) with the $2 Early Double ($20.80); $2 Exactas in the 6th ($13.60), 8th ($6.60), 11th ($231.20) and 13th ($22.00) races; $1 Pick-3 in races 4-6 ($345.00); $1 Trifecta in 11th ($454.70) race.

The BEST BET (28 10-8-3) looked nothing close to the local superstar he had been over the past year in winning 6 of 8 at the distance on the turf, finishing a fast closing, but distant 5th.

The LONGSHOT PICK (28 3-2-8) made 24-1 look like an absolute gift as this local runner destroyed a number of graded stakes placed shippers, drawing away in deep stretch to win by 2 lengths, returning a healthy $51.60 to WIN, $17.80 to PLACE and $8.40 to SHOW.

Thanks for your blog, picks and analysis. Good luck today. Lord knows I’ll need it though I did get a nice little score in the BES with “In Lingerie”.
