Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. College Lacrosse: Fallball “Play For Parkinson’s”-Towson vs. Air Force (Saturday 10am Episcopal High School Alexandria), Towson vs. Virginia (Saturday 12pm Episcopal High School Alexandria); Capital Lacrosse Classic: Penn State vs. Johns Hopkins (Sunday 10:30am Landon School Bethesda), Johns Hopkins vs. Cornell (Sunday 12:30pm Landon School Bethesda)

Fall ball is actually one of the reasons why fall is my favorite season. Another reason? Chili. Something tells me a trip to my favorite chili haunt (it’s actually in College Park) may be in order this weekend. I’m thinking Frito Pie…

Mother of God.

7. High School Football: Perry Hall @ Parkville (Saturday 1pm), Calvert Hall @ Mt. St. Joseph (Saturday 2pm), Gilman @ Archbishop Spalding (Friday 7pm)

So let me get this straight. The hottest new thing in High School Football is acting like you’re a bride at a wedding reception?

First, from Washington State-this is a game winning two point conversion…

Then the exact same scenario played out in California, this time off a fake extra point…

You know GQ is already envisioning Tim Tebow on their cover in a wedding dress.

6. Mixed Martial Arts: UFC on FX-Travis Browne vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (Friday 8pm from Minneapolis live on FX)

Yes, but before we move forward we must look back. Well, unless you’re Kyle Kingsbury’s left eye. In that case it’s probably tough for you to look much of anywhere…

5. Auto Racing: NASCAR Chase For The Cup Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 (Sunday 1pm from Talladega, AL live on ESPN)

Congratulations to the guy who won the last NASCAR race for winning the last NASCAR race. The internet says it was Brad Keselowski, but you know damn well there’s no way I’m trusting the internet about ANYTHING.

Here’s the reality in Talladega this weekend…
