COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The seventh-ranked Maryland men’s lacrosse team hits the road for the first time in 2012 for a Friday-night showdown with local rival Georgetown on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Hoyas’ Multi-Sport Facility. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3 with Booker Corrigan and Ryan Boyle handling the announcing duties.

• Maryland is coming off of a 12-6 win in its season opener vs. Hartford last Saturday. Curtis Holmes had a game for record books at the face-off X, winning 19-of-20 draws with nine groundballs and a goal. John Haus paced a balanced scoring attack that saw nine different Terps score goals with four points on two goals, including the game-winner, and two assists.

Offensively, Georgetown will be led by attackman Travis Comeau, who posted 35 points last year on 30 goals and five assists. Senior captain CT Fisher, who had a 5.55 goals-against average in a back-up role in 2011, is battling sophomore Jack Haley for the starting goalie spot.
