Towson exploded for 13 goals against Mount St. Mary’s on March 2 in Emmitsburg, Md. Towson put together two scoring runs of five and six goals for the win. The six-goal run began late in the third quarter and continued to the end of the game. The Tigers are looking to win three in a row for the first time since March 24 to April 4, 2012. Junior Thomas DeNapoli leads Towson with 13-3-16, while sophomore Cory Dobyns is the other Tiger with double-digit goals (10). Senior Andrew Wascavage has a goals-against average of 9.51 and a save percentage of .525.
Scouting the Red Foxes
Marist is a perfect 3-0 on the year, with wins against Stony Brook in the season opener (13-9), Sacred Heart (15-12) and Lafayette (8-5). The Red Foxes are led by Connor Rice’s 11 points (5-6-11) and Jack Doherty’s seven goals. Dave Scarcello backstops Marist and has an 8.67 goals-against-average and a .527 save percentage.
