Towson looks to bounce back Saturday at Mt. St. Mary’s

Opening Face-Off
The Tigers are coming off their first win of the season, 9-8 in overtime against Mercer at home. Junior Thomas DeNapoli tied his career high with four goals for the second straight game. The Mount lost 18-11 to No. 6 Virginia on February 26. Today’s game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and can be heard live on the Towson Sports Network on www.towsontigers.com with Zach Maskavich and Hunter Lochte calling the action.

Updating the Tigers
Junior Thomas DeNapoli led Towson to a 9-8 overtime victory over the visiting Bears of Mercer on Feb. 24. It was Towson’s first win of the season. Towson improved to 2-0 against Mercer.

Scouting the Mount
Mount St. Mary’s is looking to bounce back from an 18-11 loss to No. 6 Virginia this past Tuesday. Brett Schmidt paced the Mount with three goals and two assists in the loss. Andrew Scalley (9-14-23) and Schmidt (10-7-17) are the team leaders in points. Adam Borgogelli is the Mount’s goalkeeper of record.He has a goals against average of 13.67 and a save percentage of .506. MSM is receiving votes in both polls.
