MASN To Televise Four Men’s Basketball Games

BALTIMORE – The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will broadcast four Loyola University Maryland men’s basketball games during the 2013-2014 season, continuing a relationship between the Greyhounds and the regional sports network.

MASN will air the Greyhounds’ home opener against Fairfield University, on Saturday, November 16, a matchup that will pit two Jesuit schools who were conference rivals for many years prior to Loyola’s move to the Patriot League this season.

A pair of road games – at UMBC on Wednesday, November 20, and at Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday, December 7 – will be the next games aired by MASN.

The network will then feature a Saturday, February 15, broadcast of the Patriot League’s two newest members, Boston University and the Greyhounds. The teams have played each of the last two seasons – in Bracketbuster play during 2011-2012 and in the CollegeInsider.com First Round of 2012-2013 – with the Greyhounds coming out on top narrowly both times.

In addition to the two MASN broadcasts, the Patriot League rights’ holder, CBS Sports Network, will air two Loyola games: Monday, January 13, against Lafayette and Monday, January 20, at Boston University.

At least three other Loyola road games will be broadcast. The Tuesday, November 26, contest at Connecticut is slated for SNY, and theMonday, December 2, affair at West Virginia will air on ROOT Sports Pittsburgh. Loyola’s game at Miami (Fla.) on Monday, December 30, is slated for an ESPN3 broadcast.
