Maryland/West Virginia “Turtle Power” Chat Today at Noon!

September 18, 2010 | Glenn Clark

MORGANTOWN, WV — Greetings from Mountaineer Field at Milan Pusker Stadium, where the Maryland Terrapins (2-0) will face the West Virginia Mountaineers (2-0) today. We will be chatting about today’s game here at WNST.net; you can get involved by joining us over in “Turtle Power.”

Today’s game can be seen on ESPNU; Rob Stone and David Pollack will call the action.

WVU holds a 23-21-2 all time advantage in their series with the Terps; including a win in the most recent meeting on September 13, 2007 at Byrd Stadium in College Park. On that day, the ‘Eers throttled Maryland in the 2nd half, posting a 31-14 victory. WVU also won the teams’ most recent contest in Morgantown, 45-24 on September 14, 2006. In that game, WVU raced out to a 28-0 lead after just one quarter.

Head on over to the chat, there will be plenty of West Virginia jokes thrown around. Barry Aparicio and I stood outside the stadium and chanted “Go back, Go back, Go back into the woods!” but sadly the chant did not spread. You can’t win them all.
