Week #7

(June 18th…vs Mets & Nats)

CTBuzzers grab another win! The last week of drafting players from O’s and O’s opponent’s was a good one for the CTBuzzers, as they take down “Dave from Baltimore” – 61-47. Two wins in a row and our 5th dubya of the season. The O’s took on the Mets and Nats during the week and Dave got a nice week from RA Dickey (20pts) and Bryce Harper (12pts), while the CTBuzzers received big weeks from Ian Desmond and David Wright.

Starting next week we will go with new drafting rules, as we’ve decided to take the advice and input of our listeners and draft ONLY Orioles. Everything else remains the same – just know your current O’s roster and you can take a shot at winning Fantasy Baseball Challenge.

Thanks to “Dave from Baltimore” for calling in and having fun with us this week. I hope Dave tries again later in the season.

Here are the official rules:

- One person per week will be qualified to play, against our show.

- You can only qualify to play once per month, or once every four weeks.

- The draft will be held live on-air during the show, at a random chosen time between 10a – Noon. Listen on WNST 1570am or online at WNST.net for the proper time and caller number, for your chance to call in and play.

- The draft will be held each week, prior to the first game the Orioles play during a week. Usually on a Monday or a Tuesday, depending on the Orioles schedule.

- You will be asked to draft three (3) hitters and two (2) pitchers from the rosters of the Orioles and the O’s opponents for the week of play ONLY.

- The draft will be live on air during the show and the picks will go back-and-forth until full rosters are filled. You can pick in any order you wish. Pick all three hitters first. Pick both pitchers first. You are the GM and you can decide how to build your roster.

- Once a player is taken, he is off the board and cant be taken again for the week, by the other team.

- Points will accumulate through the final game played on a Sunday. The point totals will be announced live on the show each Monday – by Noon – and the winner will be declared – for the week.

- “Catch The Buzz” will use MLB.com as the official stats for each game. Only stats posted in the box score/recap of each game, on MLB.com will be valid. No other stats will be allowed or used.
