Today’s Orioles – Royals Lineups

It will be an early 12:35pm matinee start for the series finale between the Orioles and Kansas City Royals this afternoon at Camden Yards.

Brad Bergesen will make the 19th start of his young career and in the process will look to earn his seventh win.  He’s lost four of his last five decisions, but hasn’t pitched terribly; in said outings he’s actually lowered his overall ERA from 3.77 to his current 3.56.

Luke Hochevar, the #1 overall pick in the ’06 draft, will take the mound this afternoon on getaway day for the Royals.  The 6’5 lanky, hard-throwing right-hander has really put it together of late for the first time in his major league career in going 4-0 last five times out.  In his last start over the weekend against a potent Texas lineup, Hochevar only gave up two runs over seven and struck out a career-high 13.
