Like everyone else I’m disappointed that the Ravens did not win the game although we outplayed the Pats all day.
Joe had one of his best games ever and I was gratified to see that Lee Evans made some crucial catches in the game and gave Joe an extra receiver to go to in crunch time. It’s too bad that Lee couldn’t hold onto the pass that would have sealed the game for the Ravens but the defender also made a play.
I was surprised that the play was never reviewed by the officials as there was a good chance that it could have been a touchdown.
This game was a heart breaker for sure as the Ravens played their hearts out. The offense did it’s job and should have scored the 27 points needed to win the game and the defense held the Pats to just 23 points.
Even if the game went into overtime there is no guarantee that Ravens would have won or lost and I feel for Billy Cundiff as he will likely be held as the scapegoat for his 32 yard miss. This is not the first time that a kicker missed a field goal to tie the game and it won’t be the last.
This game had drama throughout with both teams battling neck and neck matching field goals and touchdowns. The fact that we held Tom Brady to zero passing touchdowns is a statement in itself.
Congratulations to John Harbaugh and his coaching staff for preparing the Ravens to match the offensive power of the Patriots and to all of the Raven players who gave their all but came up a little bit short of their goal.
I can’t tell you how proud I am of my Ravens!
