could haunt? the haunting is underway, and it’s gonna last for a loooong time. love the ravens, but the bottom line is that they blew a chance to play in the super bowl, and such chances don’t always come around again real soon. so yes, it’s haunting.
It was evident all season but never more so than the playoffs. How many times could the Ravens not get 1 yard for a first down or a touchdown. How many times did Flacco attempt to set up from his drop back only to have an offensive lineman being pushed back into his face, or worse yet be in a one-on-one situation with a linebacker eight yards in the backfield with nowhere to go. Get some better offensive linemen. While they’re at it they can work on designing some plays like the Patriots and Packers that get one or two receivers open on EVERY PASS PLAY. Cut Lee Evans, or put velcro on the ball, he’s long past his expiration date.
The NFL Networks Jason La Canfora reports that the Baltimore Ravens front office has cut kicker Billy Cundiff after Sundays loss to the New England Patriots. GM Ozzie Newsome said while the decision was a difficult one he feels it was necessary to improve the Ravens chances of returning to the AFC Championship game next year. Newsome went on to say that the Ravens have been in contact with a potential replacement for the newly departed Cundiff – Ray “Laces Out” Finkle.
