Morning Reaction 2012 NFL Predictions

With the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants kicking off the 2012 season on Wednesday night, Drew Forrester and I looked into our crystal ball for our predictions on how the NFL division races will look and who will be hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy in New Orleans on Feb. 3, 2013.

We’ve listed our records for the projected division-winning teams — without scientifically going through the schedule and picking each individual game — and an asterisk (*) denotes the teams earning wild card berths.

drew: didnt cincy just lose 3 starting Olinemen? if not, then im just asking.

and if KC wins the AFC west, i’ve got 5 coats ill donate to the winter coat charity.

both of you ought switch the bears with detroit. i think perhaps recent memory deceives you. the bears were looking like super bowl favorites before cutler went down, playoff contenders until forte went down, and then garbage.

also drew: if peyton manning was playing baseball, hed have a fastball around 77mph. he will win comeback player of the year regardless of what he does, not MVP. i think youre talking rich gannon ala 2002 performance, but the other QB’s in the league then werent doing what they are now. peyton with 3500 yards 27 td’s 10 int’s wont stack up to 2 other qb’s having over 5000 yards 40+ td’s 8- int’s. (DF: If you have any character at all, you’ll donate five coats no matter what the Chiefs do. By the way, Peyton Manning doesn’t play baseball. He plays football.)

Ravens are a tough prediction this year. If Joe stays healthy and some new guys on D step up 10 wins. If not then alert the scouts and draft some pass rushers.

Good try boys, but you all are just as dillusional as the rest of the media with your 49ers pick. The Seahawks will win the West (and this time with a winning record, so Glen Clark can quit whining about teams with losing records getting into and hosting playoff games).
