The 15-7-0 offers a hearty “RIP Defense” to the game of football

8. You would have been way more impressed by Stephen Morris and Johnny Manziel Saturday had you not already seen Geno Smith earlier.

I mean, this is fair. Morris’ line in Miami’s win over NC State? 26-49, 566 yards, 5TD’s and a pick. He also did this to clinch the win…

Al Golden was pretty excited…

And then pretty NSFW excited (check the 1:17 mark)…

It’s just a shame no one was there to see it…

Manziel went 29/38 for 453 yards and 3TD’s (no picks) in Texas A&M’s blowout win over Arkansas. He also ran for 104 yards and a TD to boot…

They wouldn’t fire John L. Smith before the end of the season, would they? I mean, he’s given us so much.

9. Georgia won a thriller against Tennessee Saturday, this would seem more meaningful if Alabama wasn’t going to cruise to another SEC title.

It seemed like the Bulldogs had to beat the Vols twice. They did, despite Cordarrelle Peterson’s AMAZING TD run…

Rajlon Neal thought it was amazing…

And here’s this guy’s reaction…

Meanwhile, Alabama stomped Ole Miss. I’m not even going to bother to show you highlights because who cares? Instead, have you looked at Alabama’s schedule? They don’t play ANY of the good teams in the SEC East. Their only test is their trip to LSU. That seems like quite the test, but I saw how LSU handled Towson the other night. They’re not the 4th best team in the country. No freaking way.

10. AJ Green doesn’t have a catching radius, he has more of a catching gravitational pull.

Seriously, watch this.

Holy crap. Otherwise, Jaguars-Bengals went exactly the way you expected. The Bengals weren’t all that great but the Jags stink, so things were fine. Oh, and Kyle Bosworth made us all laugh…

11. So I guess this whole Kevin Kolb thing is gonna stick for a bit, huh?

You kinda feel for Ryan Tannehill, here. He went 26/41 for 431 yards and a TD…but he also threw two picks. It all turned on this Kolb-Andre Roberts strike in the 4th…

But even more impressively, Kolb found Roberts again for a 15 yard TD on 4th down to tie things up in the final seconds of the 4th quarter.

The Arizona Cardinals are 4-0. I guess we’ll need to make some room…

12. I have no idea if Middle Tennessee State’s Anthony Amos needed to make a catch like this, but I’m so freaking glad he did.

Remember when MTSU stunned Maryland a few years back? They did it again Saturday against the Yellow Jackets thanks to this…

From the “elsewhere in the ACC”  category, Virginia Tech was stunned by Cincinnati thanks to this Munchie Legaux TD toss to Damon Julian. More amazing: the play or the name “Munchie Legaux”?

And from the “other cool play to look at” category, here’s a hook and lateral TD from Buffalo against UConn…

13. Here is your weekly Pac-12 update. Oregon and Oregon State are good. That is all.

Oregon crushed Washington State. I don’t really have anything to say about it. Oregon State topped Arizona to stay undefeated. Desmond Howard had something to say about that…

David Pollack “sipping on that Beaver Juice.” I love television.

14. Considering everything the Redskins overcame, they should actually feel pretty good about themselves.

It started with Brandon Meriweather and Aldrick Robinson knocking themselves out before the game…

It went on to include Billy Cundiff missing three field goals (before ultimately making the winner). He appeared concerned about his future…

As someone who doesn’t care much for the Redskins, I enjoyed watching Robert Griffin III get bodyslammed by Mark Barron…

And Alfred Morris hit a home run after a home run TD…

15. The Philadelphia Eagles won both a football game and a game of survival.

So Andy Reid calls timeout to “ice” a kicker (stupid) and Lawrence Tynes misses the kick. His reaction?

The better reaction was Eli Manning after the kick was missed for a second time…
