“The Reality Check” Week 5 NFL Power Rankings

16. Washington Redskins (27)

That was a big step to try to get towards eight wins.

15. Minnesota Vikings (20)

No way they’re this good.

14. Denver Broncos (15)

You only get so much credit for beating the Raiders, even in a blowout.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (12)

A reminder that they’re 1-2.

12. Chicago Bears (13)

We’ll see bad Jay Cutler again before too long.

11. San Diego Chargers (11)

It’s hard to get too fired up about them, but they’re in good shape.

10. Cincinnati Bengals (10)

They’ve won three games against bad teams, but they won them.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (8)

I know I dropped them a spot after a good win. You guys saw the game too.

8. New England Patriots (9)

Hell of a second half statement.

7. New York Giants (5)

Maybe they want to keep the NFC East interesting for some reason?

6. Arizona Cardinals (7)

I still have my doubts.

5. Green Bay Packers (6)

They’re going to be fine.

4. San Francisco 49ers (4)

They really are THAT much better than the Jets.

3. Baltimore Ravens (3)

They need to show a little more away from M&T Bank Stadium.

2. Atlanta Falcons (2)

They owe a little bit of a tip of the cap to Ron Rivera.

1. Houston Texans (1)

Any questions?

After hitting the quarterback rock bottom with Cleo Lemon, the Dolphins appear to have finally found Dan Marino’s heir. The Jets really are that bad (ha-ha)…is it a safe net that Mark Sanchez could throw the ball through the uprights from 50 yards on his knees? I hope the Sanchez reign for the Jets lasts as long as the Kyle Boller experiment the Ravens endured.
