“The Reality Check” Week 6 NFL Power Rankings

October 12, 2011 | Glenn Clark

16.  Atlanta Falcons (LW: 15)

They’re better than this. They HAVE to be, right?

15.  Tennessee Titans (LW: 12)

I’d call it “the beginning of the end”, but I’m not sure the Texans can run and hide with the injuries to Andre Johnson and Mario Williams.

14.  New York Giants (LW: 10)

Good teams don’t lose games like the ones they’ve lost.

13.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 8)

WTF was that???

12.  Oakland Raiders (LW: 17)

Hue Jackson is making early statements in the “Coach of the Year” race.

11.  Washington Redskins (LW: 11)

I don’t know what else to say besides “we’ll see.”

10.  Houston Texans (LW: 7)

No one in the AFC South is serious enough a threat for me to be worried here.

9.  Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 14)

If anyone in Charm City had written them off, they made sure to remind everyone the matchup at Heinz Field will definitely still help determine the AFC North race.

8.  San Francisco 49ers (LW: 20)

I want to remain skeptical, but I just can’t.

7.  Buffalo Bills (LW: 9)

That HAS to be a typo.

6.  San Diego Chargers (LW: 6)

There’s nothing particularly incredible about them…but they’re very very good.

5.  Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4)

Certainly getting the Texans at the right time.

4.  Detroit Lions (LW: 5)

They have Calvin Johnson. You do not.

3.  New England Patriots (LW: 3)

Their defense is only as questionable as their offense deems necessary. Does that make sense?

2.  New Orleans Saints (LW: 2)

Same as NE. Their offense is good enough that they don’t actually have a bad defense.

1.  Green Bay Packers (LW: 1)

Same as it ever was.
