Top 10 Baseball Distractions

4. Tennis: ATP Tour WTA Tour Citi Open (Thursday 4pm live on Tennis Channel Friday 2pm & 9pm live on Tennis Channel 5pm live on ESPN2 Saturday 3pm live on ESPN2 7pm live on Tennis Channel Sunday 4pm live on ESPN2. All tennis from Fitzgerald Tennis Center)

I usually like to try to get down to DC for a day of the Citi Open. This time it’s tough because even with Mardy Fish and Brian Baker on the court-there’s no way to argue that the majority of talent isn’t elsewhere.

I stumbled across this video of Jimmy Fallon playing Roger Federer. Someone will probably think it’s funny.

3. National Sports Collectors Convention (Wednesday-Sunday Baltimore Convention Center)

This is a big deal. There are a ton of big names signing autographs this weekend in Charm City, but one in particular whose autograph I just simply WILL NOT LEAVE WITHOUT.

RED EFFING SCHOENDIENST, MOTHER EFFERS!!!

2. NFL: Baltimore Ravens Training Camp (Monday-Friday, Monday from Under Armour Performance Center coverage on AM1570 WNST.net); Baltimore Ravens Open Practice (Saturday 5pm M&T Bank Stadium); Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony (Saturday 7pm from Canton, OH live on NFL Network), Hall of Fame Game: Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints (Sunday 8pm from Canton, OH live on NFL Network)

There will probably be a lot of surprises in Saturday night’s speeches. None would be as surprising as this particular Hall of Fame speech…

The fact that Art Modell deserves to be in the Hall of Fame has never changed.

1. Olympics (Tuesday-Friday 4am live on NBC Sports Network 7am live on Bravo 9am live on MSNBC 10am live on NBC 5pm live on CNBC Thursday Saturday 4am live on NBC Sports Network 7am live on MSNBC 8:30am live on CNBC 9am live on NBC Sunday 4am live on NBC Sports Network 6am live on NBC 7am live on MSNBC 8:30am live on CNBC Monday 4am live on NBC Sports Network 9am live on MSNBC 10am live on NBC 5pm live on CNBC. Additional coverage at NBCOlympics.com)

I think we can all agree that the breakout star of the 2012 Summer Games has been @NBCDelayed on Twitter, right?

Well, that and Croatian basketball player Antonija Misura…

She plays basketball. Like it matters.

Flexing my mic muscles since 1983…
