We got screwed…BIG TIME!!

No matter how you look at it, the NFL screwed the Ravens and Texans this week.

The NFL brass played this storm just like the people who chose to ride it out in Galveston and had to eventually be rescued. They all should have known better. This was forecasted as a potentially bad storm with impending damage well in advance and the NFL got caught with their pants down. Who pays the ultimate price? The Ravens and the Texans.

Now neither team gets the benefit of a bye week. This was NOT a proper bye week. Both teams were practicing this week in preparation for the game today or supposedly tomorrow night. Neither team gets the 7 or 8 days off that is normally set aside for a bye week. The teams should file a grievance with the NFLPA. This is not right.

I wonder if they would have done this same thing to say, Pittsburgh, Dallas, New England or Indianapolis. I say the NFL gives preferential treatment to the “elite” teams. They KNEW this storm was going to be bad, they TOLD both teams to be flexible, they COULD have played this game at another venue on short notice. They did it for San Diego during those wild fires, so why not do the same for this hurricane. You’d think Paul Tagliabue was still in charge. I thought Roger Goodell would have better sense.

Bottom line….THEY screwed US (and Houston) BIG TIME and they are getting away with it. Shame on them. I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass.
