Kings of the Castle

June 05, 2012 | Marty Mossa

Well if the LA King’s playoff road record wasn’t inpressive enough (10-0), their home record is 5-2. Isn’t bad either. The Kings dominated the Devils scoring two second period and two third period goals. The Kings killed off eight penalties including a five on three.

Although pretty even well into the second period, a contriversial goal sparked the Kings to dominate. Marty Broduer appeared to have the puck frozen when it was knocked out and pushed into the net. The Devils never recovered after that.

The Kings are the closest they have even been to holding Lord Stanley’s Cup. Up 3-0, the Kings can clinch it tomorrow night in LA, 8pmEST on NBCSN.
