6. Eric Wynalda —

With 34 career international goals in 107 games for the U.S., Wynalda was the nation’s leading scorer until he was surpassed by Landon Donovan in 2007.  Not many American-born players have been “the finisher” that Wynalda was…as you’ll see in the video clip below.  He was named the U.S. “Player of the Decade” for the 1990’s and was also named to the CONCACAF All-Decade team for the 1990’s.
