2. Brad Friedel —

Didn’t play as many games as Keller or Howard, but in the 82 career games he played from ’92 to ’05, he was the best goalkeeper this nation has ever produced.  Turned in the best goalkeeping performance in U.S. World Cup history in 2002.  Had a lengthy, successful career in England in addition to his superb play for the American national team.

The highlights below are of the 2002 World Cup but Friedel is featured prominently.
