Maryland 84, Wake 78
I don’t usually pick the Terps to beat better teams; but after talking to a lot of people who are indifferent to the team; something tells me they will win this one. They’re going to struggle with Wake’s size; but if it comes down to a battle of “Greivis vs. Teague”, I think Vasquez carries the Terps at home. I also just don’t see the Terps dropping back to back games at Comcast Center in the same season

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-Congratulations to SunTrust Athlete of the Morning Jay Greene. With no local high school games yesterday due to the snow; we decided to have a “College Athlete of the Winter” contest this morning. Drew was in charge of tabulating the voting for the contest; and we KNOW he would never fix the voting in this sort of thing. According to Drew; Greivis Vasquez was 2nd in voting, Reggie Holmes 3rd, Kristi Toliver 4th, and Carlee Cassidy 5th.
Some more score picks…
-UMBC 12, Johns Hopkins 10. I think this is a REAL opportunity for UMBC to show that they are the premiere team in Baltimore. The Retrievers have been outstanding early; and despite the Jays’ struggles, I’m not counting them out. This should be a good one on a chilly night in Catonsville.
-Loyola 10, Siena 6. I like the Greyhounds MUCH more with Shane Koppens back.
-Navy 11, Mount St. Mary’s 4. The Mids will bounce back nicely from a loss to Bucknell; with the Mountaineers not serving as much competition.
Talk to you tomorrow.
