NBA Props

“NBA future odds are one of those things that do not tend to move to much when it comes to the favorites with the Heat remaining at the top from day one and I expect that to stay the same until the playoffs unless an injury to LeBron happens.  The Lakers who were 5-2 going into the season are slowly drifting now at 11-2 and are garnering no interest from the bettors, but one team that has made a significant move is the Grizzlies who were 40-1 pre-season and are currently at 15-1 and seeing quite a steady flow of bets on them.”

“I cannot remember a year where so many teams were jockeying to be the World Series favorite at this point in the year but with the amount of trades and key signings it is still too early to have anyone as a clear cut frontrunner. The Jays obviously have had the biggest move going from 35-1 to 10-1 and the Royals even going from 100-1 to 40-1, but the Dodgers have been taking the most money from the public even before signing Greinke when they were 12-1 and are now co-favorites with the Tigers and Nationals at 17-2.”

Kenjon Barner (RB Oregon)                                 10/1

Braxton Miller (QB Ohio State)                            30/1

“Colin Klein remains a clear favorite to win the Heisman, but it  was tough to gauge how far behind Johnny Manziel really is after last week’s performance. We opened him at 5/2 this week but he did not draw any attention and have moved him to 3/1. Even though he may be worthy I assume the fact that a Freshman has never won is stuck in the bettor’s minds and unless Klein really has a mishap it is his to lose and is even taking money as odds on favorite at 2/5.”

NBA Odds

“The huge trade with James Harden going to Houston no doubt will improve the Rockets but maybe not to the extent some people expect and in turn their win total jumped up by 3 from 30.5 to 33.5 , while the Thunder were less impacted dropping slightly from 59.5 to 58.5. Our Championship odds have not changed too much over the course of the last few weeks but some trendy teams seem to be the Nuggets whom we lowered from 66-1 to 33-1 and the 76ers have taken quite a bit forcing us to move them down from 50-1 to 33-1.”
