Bovada leaves Ravens’ Super Bowl odds at 14/1 after Patriots win

Posted on 27 September 2012 by WNST Staff

Courtesy of Bovada, (www.Bovada.lv,  Twitter: @BovadaLV). There’s also a quote below from Bovada Sportsbook Manager Kevin Bradley

“It has been such a crazy start to the NFL season with upsets, comebacks, and the whole replacement referee situation that has also transpired has factored into our Super Bowl odds.  Houston who is 3-0 has emerged as the favorites at 5-1 and we have had 4 different favorites (GB, NE, SF, HOU) in the first 4 weeks of the season something that is extremely rare, in fact I cannot remember ever seeing this happen before. All that being said, I was very happy to hear that the referee situation has been resolved and we can get back to business and not worrying about and discussing if they were actually impacting lines and totals. Even thought the regular refs are back for this week’s games, we have not moved any spreads or totals as a result of that.”

Bovada improves Ravens Super Bowl odds after Week 1 win

Posted on 13 September 2012 by WNST Staff

Courtesy of Bovada, (www.Bovada.lv,  Twitter: @BovadaLV). Included below are updated Super Bowl chances, the opening line for the Super Bowl, will the replacement refs still be around in week 6, Victor Cruz drops, Michael Vick turnovers, and much more.

“Week 1 turned out to be a pretty decent day for the book despite losing our biggest decision with the Pats covering easily but teams like Washington winning and Cleveland and St. Louis covering busted up a lot of parlays and teasers.  No doubt the Skins have made the biggest impression and even though I was pretty low on them at 65-1 going into Week 1 they are still the biggest move of the week dropping to 35-1 to win the Super Bowl and with New England winning convincingly on the road they remain favorites at 5-1.”

Quote From Bovada.lv Sportsbook Manager Kevin Bradley

“With training camp starting up we decided to open up our win totals since most players have signed and will be reporting to camp, however we will be keeping an eye on guys like Maurice Jones-Drew.  This year we have two teams with very low win totals in the Browns and Jags and early money has already come in on the under 5 wins. I expect our biggest bet totals to be the Chicago Bears over 9.5 and the San Francisco 49ers over 10 as they have been our heaviest bet teams when it comes to Super Bowl Odds.”
