I really don’t want you to know that I’m WAY into Keith Urban. Honestly. Please don’t tell anyone.

Hopefully my affection for Old Man Brown will help to make you forget my previous statement…

How much do you think it will cost me to have Carolina Chocolate Drops play my wedding?

I’ve been using “Pompeii” by Bastille as a rejoiner recently. Are you in?

I’ve said publicly that there are two options for birthday gifts for me-which I’m sure you’ve been thinking about for awhile now. One is the hat my friend Tara is holding in this picture…

The other can be found on eBay…

Like I said, either is fine.

CONCACAF GOLD CUP QUARTERFINALS IN BALTIMORE SOLD OUT

Record crowd expected for doubleheader featuring USA-El Salvador and Costa Rica-Honduras

MIAMI (Friday, July 19, 2013) – The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced today that the 2013 Gold Cup Quarterfinals featuring USA vs. El Salvador and Costa Rica vs. Honduras on Sunday, July 21, will be played before a sold out crowd of more than 71,000 fans at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

“The support of fans in every Gold Cup venue has been incredible,” said CONCACAF President, Jeffrey Webb.  “I am extremely happy with the news from Baltimore that Sunday’s Quarterfinal doubleheader at M&T Bank Stadium is sold out.  It will be a tremendous day for soccer, CONCACAF, the Gold Cup and the city of Baltimore.

“Once again, people will be united through our great sport.”

The Baltimore doubleheader will be the third largest CONCACAF Gold Cup Quarterfinal attendance in the tournament’s history. M&T Bank Stadium joins Cowboys Stadium (85,000 on July 19, 2009 at Arlington, Texas) and New Meadowlands Stadium (78,807 on June 28, 2011 at East Rutherford, New Jersey.

“It’s incredible to see the sustained excitement that international soccer has generated in Baltimore,” stated Roy Sommerhof, the Ravens’ vice president of stadium operations. “Fans in this region are tremendously passionate, and we’re delighted to feature a world class competition like the Gold Cup at M&T Bank Stadium.”

Kickoff for USA-El Salvador is set for 4 p.m. ET live on FOX and Univision, followed by Costa Rica-Honduras at 7 p.m. ET, live on FOX Soccer Channel and Univision. The winners of Sunday’s matches advance to the semifinals at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Wednesday, July 24. The 2013 Gold Cup final, which will crown the best of the confederation, as well as secure a play-in spot to the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, will be played Sunday, July 28 at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

10. Lil’ Wayne/T.I./2 Chainz (Wednesday 7pm 1st Mariner Arena); Sublime with Rome (Wednesday 6:30pm Pier Six Pavilion), The Beach Boys (Saturday 8pm Pier Six Pavilion); fun. (Saturday 6:30pm Merriweather Post Pavilion); Eagles (Monday 8pm Verizon Center); 311 (Friday 6:30pm Jiffy Lube Live), Blake Shelton (Saturday 7:30pm Jiffy Lube Live); Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (Monday 8pm Wolf Trap); P.O.D./Flyleaf (Friday 9pm Rams Head Live), Pentatonix (Sunday 8pm Rams Head Live); Howie Day (Saturday 8pm Baltimore Soundstage); Rehab (Sunday 8pm Rams Head on Stage); Lyfe Jennings (Saturday 8pm Howard Theatre); Jars Of Clay (Wednesday 7:30pm Birchmere); Artscape feat. North Mississippi All-Stars, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Wailers (Friday-Sunday Mount Royal); Robert Randolph and the Family Band “Lickety Split” available in stores/on iTunes (Tuesday)

No Brian Wilson for the Beach Boys this summer. What a summer it was last year…

I still enjoy fun. Go ahead, judge away.

Wait. Lacey isn’t the singer from Flyleaf anymore? Just quit. Her voice was THE BEST.

I enjoyed rootsy Robert Randolph, but I have quite the fondness for rock and roll Robert Randolph. Happy that one is back.

9. Artscape (Friday-Sunday Mount Royal); “The Gathering” (Friday 5pm Du Burns Arena); Turbo (Wednesday) and Red 2 (Friday) out in theaters

If Robert McClintock has a table at Artscape again, there isn’t a price I wouldn’t pay for this particular piece…
