BALTIMORE – Coppin State and Morgan State will renew their cross-town rivalry on Saturday (Feb 9) at 4 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex.
Coppin State enters Saturday’s game with an overall record of 5-19 and 2-7 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Junior Michael Murray is the team’s leading scorer averaging 12.1 points per game and he leads the MEAC in rebounding with 9.0 rebounds per game. Andre Armstrong is averaging 21.3 points in his last seven games and he is shooting 42.0 (29-of-69) percent from the three-point line during that stretch. Armstrong also ranks second in the conference averaging 2.2 three-point field goals made per game.
Morgan State has an overall record of 6-13 and a 3-5 in the conference. DeWayne Jackson leads the Bears in scoring averaging 14.4 points per game.
Coppin State leads the all-time series 51-22 and has won two of the last three meetings.
