Ravens’ Super Bowl odds slip after first week of free agency

“A week ago the Super Bowl champs were sitting comfortably at 14-1 to repeat which was in the top 5, now find themselves  at 20-1 and may even drift some more if they keep dumping players without acquiring any significant replacements for them. The Miami Dolphins, who can possibly compete in the AFC East, have been my biggest move dropping from 60-1 to 35-1 and in turn the Jets have jumped up to 60-1. The Seahawks getting Harvin has moved them slightly from 12-1 to 10-1, but am still holding the 49ers as co-Super Bowl favorites alongside the Broncos at 7-1.”

Bovada doesn’t drop Ravens’ Super Bowl odds despite injuries

Posted on 18 October 2012 by WNST Staff

Courtesy of Bovada, (www.Bovada.lv,  Twitter: @BovadaLV).  Included below are a quote from Bovada.lv Sportsbook Manager Kevin Bradley, updated Super Bowl odds, updated Divisional odds, playoff chances for a number of teams, the futures of Ray Lewis, Michael Vick, and Jason Garrett, tackles for Jonathan Vilma, Wes Welker stats, touchdowns for James Jones, playoff chances for a variety of teams, rushing yards let up by the Ravens, will the Bears score another defensive touchdown this week, and who will get the #1 draft pick in the NFL in 2013?

“We have had a different Super Bowl favorite in five of the first six weeks and going into Week 7 I have a three-way tie, something that I have not done since Week 10 of the 2010 Season where I had 6 teams all favorites at 8-1 to win the Super Bowl.  The Niners, Pats and Texans lead the way at 6-1 and are all at least a touchdown favorite this week, so barring an upset it will most likely remain that way next week with the Falcons right behind them at 7/1.”

Bovada leaves Ravens’ Super Bowl odds at 14/1 after Patriots win

Posted on 27 September 2012 by WNST Staff

Courtesy of Bovada, (www.Bovada.lv,  Twitter: @BovadaLV). There’s also a quote below from Bovada Sportsbook Manager Kevin Bradley

“It has been such a crazy start to the NFL season with upsets, comebacks, and the whole replacement referee situation that has also transpired has factored into our Super Bowl odds.  Houston who is 3-0 has emerged as the favorites at 5-1 and we have had 4 different favorites (GB, NE, SF, HOU) in the first 4 weeks of the season something that is extremely rare, in fact I cannot remember ever seeing this happen before. All that being said, I was very happy to hear that the referee situation has been resolved and we can get back to business and not worrying about and discussing if they were actually impacting lines and totals. Even thought the regular refs are back for this week’s games, we have not moved any spreads or totals as a result of that.”
