I’m okay with the idea that Baltimore fans should be “over” the Colts moving to Indianapolis. We have a team (a GREAT team), a new stadium (a GREAT stadium), and a new history to continue for years to come. I really am okay with the idea that those factors should lead Maryland fans to have gotten “over” the Colts leaving. Kind of.can’t believe 25 years have passed since Colts left town
First of all; there is NO getting over the feelings that happened 25 years ago for Colts fans. The empty feeling will never be forgotten; and those emotions have to be respected. If someone says, “I can’t forgive the Colts”; that should be understood. Frankly, I don’t think I’ll ever feel good for the Colts; nor do I want them to have any level of success. I know they won a Super Bowl; but I hope they never do again.
And if getting “over” the Colts’ departure means being okay with the fact that the history and records of the Colts are now part of Indianapolis folklore; I will then NEVER be “over” the Colts. Forget it. It is an embarrassment that John Unitas is part of Indianapolis Colts history; and is almost unforgiveable.
But that being said; I am not seething today thinking about yesterday’s 25th anniversary of the Colts’ departure. Then again; I was barely alive when they left. But my childhood was certainly loaded with the venom of my friends and family discussing their love for the Colts and their sadness for the move.
Let’s see what everyone else has to say…..

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-Wanted to throw some props towards Brandon Friedland; who came into a Bases Loaded, no outs situation Friday night and pitched Loyola Blakefield out of the jam to get the win for the Dons over Archbishop Spalding. Thanks to Glenn from Timonium for letting me know about the feat.
-Maryland 82, Louisville 74. I haven’t picked against Toliver and Coleman yet, and I won’t start now.
Talk to you tomorrow.
