Well you heard me say it before, “it’s a must win”. Maybe I over state that phrase, maybe I’ve used that term too many times; but I think it’s not an over statement to say that the next four games are MUST wins if we want to get to where we want to go. Of course we want to go to the Super Bowl. Personally I don’t think the Ravens will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year. Unfortunately they have shown me nothing to say they are the best in the AFC. They are 9-3. With the exception of the Cincinnatti game in week one, and the Oakland game where we put up fifty some points; I quite frankly can’t find a reason how they won the other seven.
But despite how they did, they are still 9-3. There are five possible scenarios facing the Raven’s future. With four games left in the season, this is what could happen:
•If the Ravens win out, they are guaranteed the AFC North Title & a bye.
•If they win out and Houston loses three of four, they are guaranteed home field all the way through. (NOT GOINT TO HAPPEN)
•If we win three of four and New England wins out, we lose the bye week and play in the Wildcard Round.
•If we lose two of four, and Steelers win out, it will take a tie breaker to decide the AFC North Title.
•If we one of four, we clinch a playoff berth, all be it a probable sixth seed.
•Finally if the Ravens lose out, chances are they will probably be on the golf course come New Year’s day.
Personally, I don’t know what Ravens team will show over the course of the next four weeks. I think we will make the playoffs, we SHOULD win the division. But I think New England will leap frog over us and take the 2nd seed behind Houston. Destiny’s in our own hands. If we win out, the 2nd seed is ours. I don’t think that’s going to happen. If we play the Wildcard Round on the road, I think we’ll be one and done. I wish I could be more optimistic.
